HISTORY
Habitat in Brown County began in
November of 1989. Current Board
Member Linda Welty, invited
representative from HFH International
to present the basics. The first house
was constructed in 1991.
FUNDING
Our funds come from repayment of
interest free mortgages by Habitat
home owners, individuals gifts from
generous people donating $10 to
$10,000, churches with annual
target budgets for members
donating through the church, a
spring benefit concert,
summerfest.... and fall "Hike for
Humanity", grants from civic
organizations and the Brown
County Community Foundation.
Plus materials and labor from
businesses. Consider making a
gift of time, money or material!
